This fast-growing Shiitake mushroom is our favorite mushroom on the farm. Once you activate your Shiitake mushroom growing kit, the first harvest will begin to grow and produce beautiful large mushroom stems within 10 to 14 days. Our Shiitake mushroom blocks produce 1-2 harvests. Experience the joy and magic of seeing beautiful mushroom branches growing before your eyes and then enjoy them!
These mushrooms are easy to grow indoors at average temperatures of 60-70ºF. They prefer indirect light and need to be sprayed with water daily to maintain humidity. Our Shiitake mushroom growing kits are organic rubberwood blocks supplemented with mold from the robust Shiitake mushroom strain we research.

This bag is made of polypropylene material, with filter which allows for the passage of air but not unwanted contaminates. They can be used in a pressure cooker, steam sterilizer or autoclave. They are also used for spawn production to inoculate bulk substrates like straw or compost. The breathable technology provides gas exchange, but excludes water vapor. Furthermore, the side-gusseted bags and strong bottom seal give a sturdy stand-up bag after flling. They are reusable by sealing with an impulse sealer, taping or tighening shut at theends. The bag issuperior and economical choice when it comes to growing mushr-ooms. Other sizes and filters with large quantities are also available. |
